How to install osTicket from fantastico

Step 1: Login in cPanel

domain.com:2082/

Step 2: Click Fantastico icon

Navigate to: cPanel >> Software / Services >> Fantastico

Step 3: Click osTicket

On fantastico page, click osTicket from left side menu.

Click “New Installation” link on osTicket page.

Step 4: Fill osTicket installation details

You will be shown a simple form. Fill the form with osTicket installation details like administrator username, Administrator password, Admin e-mail etc.

After filling up the form click “Install osTicket” button.

Step 5:Error message

You may get following error message after clicking “Install osTicket” button.

If you get this error message, simple delete or rename “images” fiolder located in public_html folder.
and click “Install osTicket” button.

You should get following page.

Click “Finish Installation” button.

Fantastico will create required database, database username and install osTicket.

Step 5:Done

Congratulation!! Fantastico has installed osTicket on your account. You should get following page, saying osTicket has been installed on your account.

Still unable to install

If you are still unable to install osTicket on your hosting account, contact your web hosting provider to look into issue.

What is overselling?

By default, overselling is disabled on all reseller hosting accounts. You can create an unlimited number of cPanel accounts when overselling is disabled.

While overselling is disabled, the disk space and bandwidth usage is calculated based on the space and bandwidth you assigned to your accounts. Ecample: If you have 5GB space, you can add 5 accounts with 1GB space each or 10 accounts with 500MB space each.

If overselling is enabled, the disk space is calculated based on the used space of your accounts. Basically, with overselling enabled you can create as many accounts as you want until you reach your number of cPanel accounts limit for your plan or run out of space and bandwidth.

To upload your web site you need an FTP client like FileZilla. You can also use the File manager in cPanel. Your files must be uploaded in the public_html directory of your account.

What is my incoming and outgoing mail server?

Your incoming and outgoing server is mail.yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com is the name of your account domain.

How do I access my e-mail via webmail?

You can access webmail of your account using url www.yourdomain.com/webmail

You must use your e-mail address as a username e.g. name@domain.com

How to host multiple domains under one hosting account??

You should add extra domain name as addon domain name in cPanel to host more than one domain name under new account. But web hosting companies may put limitation on number of addon domains allowed. You can see addon domains limit in cpanel left side.

Yes, you can use multiple domains to open/ host same site using “parked domain name” feature. Add extra domain name as parked domain name in cPanel of your account.

Remember all parked domain names should have same nameserver address as used by main domain name of your account.

cPanel by default do put any limit on database size, and most web hosting companies also don’t put any limit on database size. But some web hosting companies may use any third party script to put limitation on database size. You should conform same from your web hosting company.
